Working for Peace – One Child at a Time

No More Victims (NMV) is a grassroots organization that connects American communities with war-injured children and their families. Community participants band together to learn how the child was injured, assess the child’s current situation, and work to meet the most pressing needs of the child and family.

No More Victims has evacuated children injured by US forces to cities all across America. The children received urgently needed medical treatment and some small measure of restorative justice. They brought the human face of what the Pentagon call “collateral damage” home to American communities, and helped awaken millions of Americans to the true nature of war.

We’ve shown that Americans in ordinary circumstances can directly intervene to help victims of organized state violence. We are now working to assist groups developing their own independent direct relief and advocacy projects. The first such initiative, Healing Children of Conflict, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has completed its first medical evacuation project. Eight-year-old Hamza’s treatment was completely successful, and HCC plans more in the future.

In addition to consulting with these groups, we are producing a documentary and working to focus the public’s attention on the enormous human costs of war. American militarism is absorbing enormous amounts of our public wealth and bringing hunger and privation to our own country. Your support and participation is greatly appreciated.
